What is osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a manual approach that aims to support the body's proper functioning and its natural capacity to adapt. Rather than focusing solely on the painful area, the osteopath considers the body as a whole: muscles, joints, nervous system, vascular system and organs.

Techniques adapted to each person

The techniques used — mobilisations, stretches, pressure techniques, more direct techniques — are always chosen according to each person's needs and comfort, ranging from the gentlest to the most targeted.

How a session unfolds

The session begins with a discussion to understand your history, symptoms and expectations, followed by a physical assessment (standing, sitting, lying down) and a personalised treatment.

Consent, always

Consent plays a central role: it is asked for before every technique, and you remain free to accept, decline, or stop at any time.

What should I wear?

You are always free to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable during your session. Since osteopathy is a manual therapy, working directly on the skin or through thin, flexible clothing allows your practitioner to assess and treat the body more effectively. Comfortable, lightweight clothing is therefore recommended. Where possible, avoid thick or restrictive clothing such as jeans, thick jumpers or heavy sweatpants. Your comfort and consent always remain the priority: you will never be asked to undress beyond what you are comfortable with.
